Temporary Detour: Purple Line Construction on University Blvd

Route Affected: M12

 

On Monday, October 5, through Friday, October 30, from 10:00pm-5:00am nightly, buses will detour due to construction for the Purple Line project. Please be advised that no work is scheduled on the evenings of Saturday, October 17 and Saturday, October 24. As a result, no detours will be in effect on either date. Please allow additional travel time and avoid the area if possible. 

 

Street Closures:

  • Intersection of University Blvd and Piney Branch Rd

 

The following route will detour:

M12 University Blvd eastbound towards Hyattsville Crossing

  • Buses begin detouring on University Blvd at Piney Branch Rd, resuming regular route on University Blvd at Merrimac Dr.

M12 University Blvd westbound towards Twinbrook

  • No detour required.
